Job Summary
The Clinical Practice Leader coordinates and facilitates clinical activities, ensuring effective use of resources.  This position acts as a liaison between management, physicians, staff and patients.  Functioning as a leader, role model and a clinical resource, the Clinical Practice Leader supports the team to safely provide care to patients during treatment.

Top 4 Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direct nursing care and performs nursing functions of a staff nurse.
  • Provides practice support to nurses and other clinical staff in patient care situations.
  • Accountable for scheduling/ coordinating staff equipment or other resources.
  • Making and adjusting patient assignments, coordinating care, ensuring follow up and patient outcomes.

Job Qualifications

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Three years’ recent related experience in clinical area (renal care).
  • Two years’ formal experience in a teaching leadership role.
  • CNA Nephrology Nurse Certification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
