To whom it may concern,
I am pleased to be writing to with interest in obtaining a position as an RPN with your facility. I feel my strong background in nursing, my vast array of clinical experience, and the capacity of knowledge I attain help me to stand out for this position.
I am an experienced nurse who graduated in 2014 from Loyalist College Practical Nursing Diploma program. In my past seven years of nursing, I have taken the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings. Working most recently in a long-term care setting I have acquired a wide range of skills complemented by my clinic, hospital and community nursing background. My work is focused around triaging needs and working at a fast pace to provide the optimal care for each of our residents. I have the ability to work independently or with an interprofessional team to achieve the task at hand. I also understand the importance of providing holistic care, including the patient, family and health care team. I work hard following policies and procedures in place and meeting CNO guidelines. I take every opportunity to teach and empower those around me, and take the CNO Practice Standards guideline very seriously when it comes to knowledge application and using it to create a positive learning environment for all of those who enter out facility.
In every workplace I have strived to show teamwork, leadership, professionalism, dedication and reliability. I put my heart into creating relationships with patients, clients and coworkers based on trust and respect. I enjoy bringing significant amounts of health teaching and medical information into my everyday practice to better the knowledge of the general public and assist in my role in healthcare. I work to help others succeed, teaching and guiding, and knowing that being a role model plays a very big part in any workplace. I am currently enrolled in the RPNAO Leadership Courses to build myself into a stronger leader and be able to use my knowledge to create diverse RPNs in the workplace.
I believe my employment with your facility would be mutually beneficial as I am seeking a change in roles to be able to use my knowledge of community services, my strong communication skills, my drive to create equal and seamless health care to everyone, and my proficiency in team orientated work. I would love to speak to you personally to set up a time for an interview so we can further discuss my qualifications for this role and why I would be a good candidate for the posted position. I will be in touch with you in a short time. Thanks for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Roxanne Gimera
